5 o'clock Monday Post

The weather in North Texas finally got the Fall memo and it is absolutely glorious. Just in time for my favorite Dallas weekend of the year (TX/ou), no less. I have huge plans of stocking up on pumpkins and gearing up for my big move. (roomie bought a house and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen!) Anyway, until then - I'll just work for the weekend...

By the way, I'm loving the new Arcade Fire album - it is amazing. Even more amazing is the "Wake Up" cover by John Legend & The Roots from Funeral. Total greatness!

la la la laaa - oh happy day! Sara B. welcomed Alyssa and I into New York what seems like FOREVER ago with Little Voice...we played it out and beyond. So now it's time to move things along and do the very same with this great album. Keep in mind, I haven't even listened to it all the way through and I'm already claiming its greatness...she's that good.

Man, what a Tuesday. My day started off with a 5:45am raccoon scare and I have yet to recover. By "raccoon scare," I mean a gang of three raccoons were frolicking in my backyard when I opened the door and screamed loudly, leaving one to run frantically INTO our fence and scurry off, the second to run up our tree, and the third to run UNDER my car. Suffice it to say, it has been one bizarre day.

Anyway, work also got the weird memo - so we're comin' full circle over here!

Thanks to NPR, I've had something to cheer up my afternoon. Oh, Ray...it's been awhile.
