¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!

Happy Cinco de Mayo, friends! Hope you're sculpting your guns for some piñata hammering while simultaneously sipping a mojito for this evening's festivities. I've decided that 5/5 is celebrated largely among the single 20s crowd and I'm a-ok with that. If shopping at Fiesta market on a random Wednesday night is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

My car filled to the brim with Mexican goodies

I will return tomorrow with some aftermath photos and maybe even a video because someone got fancy and received a Flip cam on loan. I know what you're thinking, this changes everything...

Feliz cinco to all and to all a good night!

Must See: Bill Cunningham New York

I'm here to tell you about an absolute must-see in theaters right now - Bill Cunningham New York. It is one of the sweetest and most entertaining documentaries I have ever seen! Alyssa and I took to the streets yesterday in an attempt to break away from the dreary weather and found ourselves dying over this man's outlook on work and life. Not only has he made a name for himself as a coveted fashion photographer in New York City for literal decades (which is a feat in and of itself) but he managed to do so while living an unpretentious, quiet, almost solitary life. His take on the world and how he sees it is absolutely fascinating. Not only that, but he has an appreciation for art that is nothing short of contagious. Even more astounding is how a skinny, quirky guy in a blue smock can make himself relevant years and years in an industry that prides itself on being the most exclusive of them all.

If you are fortunate enough to find it in a theater near you then I say make a date for yourself. You won't regret it.

"Bill has chronicled the intersection of fashion, society and culture in New York for over fifty years like an anthropologist... Bill's rigorous work ethic, his joy and passion for his subject matter, and the simplicity with which he lives his life; all of that is an inspiration." - via

"Just wait 'til you see her."

I don't know about y'all but I could absolutely OD on these Royal nuptials. If you were like me and spent the better part of your early morning/late evening in a wedding stupor then you're probably experiencing some serious after affects. Like the fact that you just witnessed the ending to a picture perfect Disney movie featuring the handsome Prince and his flawless Princess or even more impressive that her composure under pressure was nothing short of other worldly. Either way, it was pure magic. I am so glad that I had the opportunity of watching it in real time and reacting to it as it was playing out. She was lovely, the wedding was perfect and I will remember it always.

So here's to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their happily ever after...

It's here!

It's finally here! I'm off to indulge in an adult sleepover with some fellow Royal enthusiasts and discuss all things monarchy. From dresses to fish and chips, this should be the event to end all events. I can't wait to see what she wears and how regal I will always remember her being. Rest assured, this will be a topic of discuss for days (read: years) to come...

Cheerio, friends, cheerio!

Here's to hopping!

Happy (almost) Easter, friends! I know, I know ...it's been awhile. And by awhile I mean months.

Anywho, I hope everyone is gearing up for a weekend of Easter duds, egg dyeing, hollow bunnies & Christ's resurrection. Spring is such a wonderful time of renewal...so here's to each and every one of you feeling it.

Late night egg dyeing - the adult version.

A few things worth noting:

Adorable little Paris v. New York prints. Not to be outdone by a new patisserie in Austin.

Zara's blazers. Pages and pages full of 'em!

My current Kindle read on the big screen. So good.

That voice. Sidenote, why are sad songs so good?

Perfect Spring recipe.

Mere days. (so hyped!)

Set your DVR. This is history, people!

I need another gold necklace like a hole in the head but this one is just too precious.

One thing I haven't found is the perfect, not too high, Summer wedge. If anyone has any ideas please send along. I'm always on the lookout.

...I promise I'll get better about blogging!
